New Capital Investment Entrant Scheme Required Documents

Applicants for the New Capital Investment Entrant Scheme must employ a certified public accountant as defined in the Accounting and Financial Reporting Council Ordinance (Chapter 588 of the Laws of Hong Kong) at their own expense to assist in certifying that the applicant meets the net asset requirements, investment requirements and investment management requirements.   • Real estate title certificate (urban property)
  • State-owned land use right certificate (rural land)
  • Mortgage deed (if any)
  • A valuation report issued by an appraiser and accepted by a certified public accountant in Hong Kong
Company shares
  • Annual return submitted to the Companies Registry / certificate of company ownership issued by an official body
  • Corporate business license
  • Capital verification report (if any)
  • The latest company information printed by the Administration for Industry and Commerce
  • Share certificates, certificates of title, certificate of incorporation and memorandum or articles of association
  • Auditor's report

  • A valuation report issued by an appraiser and accepted by a certified public accountant in Hong Kong (if the assets are not traded on a public exchange)
  • Documents that can prove the market value of assets and the applicant's absolute beneficial ownership of assets

    Proof that the applicant has invested at least HK$30 million in permitted investment assets within 180 days

    Proof that the applicant continues to meet the investment management requirements after the first anniversary of the applicant's participation in the scheme and on each anniversary thereafter

  • A transaction note/receipt/statement issued by a financial institution indicating the applicant’s investment amount

Ownership interests in limited partnerships

  • Documents that can prove the applicant's investment amount
Non-residential real estate
  • Land Registry records showing the property's ownership and purchase price
  • Mortgage deed (if any)
  • Extract from the business register (if the property is owned by a sole proprietorship in the applicant's name)
  • Annual return submitted to the Companies Registry / certificate of ownership of the applicant’s company issued by an official body (if the property is owned by a company of which the applicant is the only shareholder)
Capital Investment Entrant Scheme Portfolio
  • Documents that can prove the applicant's investment amount (e.g. the applicant invested HK$3 million in the Capital Investment Entrant Scheme portfolio)
  • Bank account statement/bank passbook (if the applicant has deposited HK$3 million in cash in a designated account opened by a financial intermediary appointed by him for future investment in the Capital Investment Entrant Scheme portfolio)
